Is diluted dog shampoo safe to spray on my dog before brushing?
Hello. This product does have some shampoo in it, so you can see if this leaves a soapy residue on Callie's coat after spraying her. If there is not too much residue, then diluting before brushing should be fine. If not, you may still need to rinse her off. They do make leave on dry shampoos & conditioners for dogs. What should I buy at Petco for my dog's flea dermatitis relief?
If there is a secondary bacterial infection, I would recommend using product called Duoxo Chlorhexidine + Calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved. I would also recommend picking up a hydrocortisone spray (Well and Good at Petco) and apply daily to the affected area to relieve inflammation. If it does not resolve or worsens, I would have a veterinarian take a look at Harley so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps!

Are flea & tick shampoos good for dogs? Do they need conditioner?
Flea and tick shampoos are only a quick fix. They will not continue to repel or kill fleas. They are not recommended - any brand. The Antiparasitic/Antiseborrheic shampoo does not have the active ingredients that the Duoxo has. I'm not saying it won't work (it might) but I am not familiar with it.

What antiseptic shampoo is best for my dog's worsening rash?
My favorite brand is Duoxo. It comes in a shampoo that has chlorhexidine and climbazole that treats bacterial and fungal problems. However, if you are unable to find this or something similar at a pet store then any drug store is likely to have a chlorhexidine OR salicylic acid shampoo in their human shampoo section.
