I don't know much about how they spay dogs in China, but I can't say I have ever heard of a dog requiring a four day hospital stay after this procedure. Here in the USA, most dogs will either go home the same day or the day after the procedure. Although a spay is an intra-abdominal procedure were an organ is removed, they tend to wake up well and not particularly painful. Unless they are using some method in China that is far more involved, I would think that the same day method is more in line with realistic.

I like Missing Link Original. If your local Petco does not carry it you can order it online or ask you local store manager to order it for you. ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/brand/the-missing-link ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hi and thanks for your request. These signs are likely caused by a colitis, caused by dietary indiscretion and dysbiosis. Usually the combination between a probiotic (canine fortiflora or similar ones) and a bland diet like boiled chicken and rice is beneficial. I would recommend Three-four days of this regime and then switch back to normal diet gradually.

The fact that she is bright, active and eating is a good sign. A bland sensitive or intestinal diet formula can help, alongside probiotics to restore gut balance. An oral rehydration fluid would be worthwhile to prevent dehydration given the length of her symptoms. If not resolving by Mon a full check up by your vet would be recommended

I suggest you try a probiotic like Fortiflora. This should help balance the normal bacteria in his GI tract. One sachet on food daily. It comes as a box of 30 sachets so I would give all 30 days. ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Purina-Fortiflora-Canine-Nutritional-Supplement/dp/B001650NNW )
