Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. My top recommendations of veterinary diets include Hill's Science Diet, Purina, and Royal Canin. These are well-known brands that are stocked in veterinary hospitals, and are AAFCO formulated to be balanced and appropriate. I recommend avoiding grain-free, boutique diets from other brands, as these are not regulated and often are do not have balanced nutrients. I hope this is helpful!

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your questions. Thanks for using PetCoach.

Hello. You have quite a very handsome group of pups! The best dog foods most vets will recommend are those made by Purina, Hill's Science Diet & Royal Canin. I personally feed mine Purina One True Instincts. These may not be the very cheapest foods out there, but they are definitely more reasonable than the incredibly high priced boutique foods which are no better than the basics. Hope your guys do well & thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. You should try food supplements containing omega 3. I can recommend Triglyceride Omega by Vetoquinol but there is a wide choice of products on the market. After 3-4 weeks of supplementation you should see improvement.

I would stay away from blue buffalo. I have never had good experience with their foods. I have seen a lot of dog become overweight, develop pancreatitis, and have a lot of urinary issues with this food. Little Caesars is also not a great food. Royal canin and science diet are both good foods. I am not super familiar with well core but I also haven't heard anything bad about their foods. I do not think she needs to be a on grain free unless she is having bad food allergy issues. Also, I would consider putting her a fish oil or an omega 3 fatty acid supplementation if she has a lot of flakey and isn't greasy. I like vetriscience 369 supplementation. I hope this helps!
