Hi and thanks for posting! If Blue is allergic to beef and chicken, all products associated with these proteins should be avoided which includes beef rawhide. You may want to stick to another non chicken or beef chew or treat such as the product I have listed below. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/blue-ridge-naturals-oven-baked-salmon-jerky-dog-treats
I would not recommend blue buffalo as I have seen some negative side effects of their urine. One of my favorite more natural foods that dogs seem to like is natural balance limited ingredient diets. They have a lot of flavors. I hope this helps.
Every dog is a little different and you may have to experiment a bit to find the food that Roscoe tolerates the best. I don't know what your budget is, or what is specifically available in your area, but here are a few brand options: Natural Balance Taste of the Wild Merrick Canidae Most of these brands offer grain free treats as well. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
Hello. Any of the 3 will be fine. The problem with all 3 of these companies is they do absolutely no true feeding trials with their diets. All of their information comes out of a laboratory. There are basically only 3 companies that do actual feeding trials on living dogs, Hills, Royal Canin & Purina. If you want the best go with these, otherwise, any of the 3 you mentioned will be fine. The key to doing treats while a dog is on an elimination diet is to use treats that have the same ingredients as the food you are trying. Sometimes the easiest way to do this is to use canned food of the variety and flavor that you are using to put in a Kong or bake into treats. Other options would be to use sweet potato chews if the food you are feeding has sweet potatoes in it (which Zignature kangaroo does not) or giving dehydrated chews that are the same meat source that you are feeding (which will be a challenge for a kangaroo food). So, for the food you are feeding right now, the best option may be to use canned Zignature kangaroo to create treats for Lucy. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
