Food & NutritionHow to reduce cat urine acidity to protect my backyard grass?
Although there are a number of products that are made for dogs to help prevent grass from dying when they urinate on it, those products are not recommended for cats. The only recommendations I could give you would be to try to dilute your cats' urine by changing from dry to canned food (if they are on dry food) and/or adding additional water to their diet and dilute the urine on the grass by watering it as often as possible (which is never a great option in CA). I wish I had a better alternative, but those are the only safe options.
Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
