Hi and thank you for contacting Pet Coach with your question about Kalei! I found a website that sells designer dog perfume, and I will put a link below for you to check it out. They have a number of scents that sound like they would smell really nice, including one that smells like a vanilla cupcake. Let's be honest, who doesn't love the smell of cupcakes?! I recommend checking out this website to find one for her. Best of luck, I hope this helps! https://www.poshpuppyboutique.com/Designer_Dog_Perfume_s/1921.htm

Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your questions. Thanks for using PetCoach.

Frankly, I'm not a fan of Blue Buffalo since they have been cited for lying about the ingredients in their foods more than once. My personal favorite brands of dog food are Science Diet and Royal Canin. Both are excellent quality, made in their own facilities so there's less chance of contamination with other foods and all are extensively tested for effectiveness and palatability. If he hasn't been to the vet in a while, I recommend getting him checked to make sure there isn't some underlying medical condition causing his upset stomach.

Congratulations on your new puppy! At first, I would recommend feeding Lola what she has already been eating at the breeder. Changes in diet have to be done gradually to avoid GI upset, so typically continuing to feed the food they were already on helps to make the transition to the new home easier. In terms of treats, she will be very small, so training treats (small bite sized pieces) would be a great option. Toys are variable depending on which type she enjoys. I would get a couple options and see which type she prefers; just remember not to leave her unsupervised with any toys that have a squeaker, as she may be able to chew it open and eat the squeaker! At first, she won't need to have her teeth brushed, as her adult teeth won't have come in yet (she will still have baby teeth). Getting her used to having your fingers in her mouth and manipulating under her gums will help prepare her for tooth brushing when she is a little older. Congratulations and enjoy!

Nikki is adorable! Thank you so much for posting pictures. You posted about a number of concerns, so hopefully I can address all of them. As far as her teeth go, it is always recommended to have a full dental cleaning under anesthesia to resolve any underlying problems and pain, then follow up with something like a water additive to decrease additional dental calculus from forming. My favorite dental product is PetSmile, but it does need to be applied to the teeth. https://petsmileusa.com There has been a lot of evidence that increasing the amount of Omega 3 fatty acids in the diet can make a big difference for inflammation and itching. Since a diet change and adding Omega 3 fatty acids to the diet can both cause loose stool, I normally only recommend that clients make one change to a diet at a time (which includes supplements). Both Acana and Wellness make a wonderful fish based diet, so I do not have a preference between the 2 of those. Make sure you do a gradual diet change over a period of days to prevent any GI upset and loose stools. Then, if you still need to add in an Omega 3 fatty acid supplement, you could add something like Nordic Naturals. https://www.nordicnaturals.com/petRet/ Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your questions. Thanks for using PetCoach.
