Collar training My 14 week papillon is tiny just over 2lbs. The smallest harness does not fit. I began collar and leash during potty pad time, then keeping on and off for periods yesterday. Of course she bites and plays with the leash, causing it to be more of a potty training distraction than tool. The collar, right sized no dangles made of nylon, seems to irritate her skin. She itches it constantly. Is this hurting her skin or part of getting used to the collar?
Our puppy does not understand the leash and when we hook it to her collar she flips around and acts crazy. We want her to get used to it but she is going to hurt herself. We want to get her a harness but what is the best type of harness for a puppy? Some have soft material versus some made out of thinner collar materials. Which is better?

What harness is the best and most comfortable for my dog. It would also have to work with a tie out stake. The one i have she just pulls right out of it. My 4 month old puppy has a really thin soft collar around her neck and she still shuts down when wearing it. Basically she won't even move and just stares. Is there a good method to help her forget the collar?(similar picture attached). When i remove the collar she goes back to playing.
