I have an older yellow lab that gets bored really easily. He gets bored with kongs and is an extreme chewer so rawhides or other chewies disappear SUPER fast! He is very intelligent and I was thinking of getting him a puzzle toy that involves treats as he is EXTREMELY food motivated! Since he's so smart should I still start him on the most basic puzzle or try something harder? I don't want to waste money on toys he'll go through really fast. And are there any other sorts of toys you can suggest?
I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. Hi there. My 11 pound Chiuhua/Mini Pin mix dog just managed to eat about 90 percent of an edible nylabone in about 10 minutes. On the back it says up to one a day for a dog of 30 pounds, so I'm not sure if I should be concerned.
Our 11 month old puppy is high energy and loves to play fetch. During a game of fetch he will get a scent and will run all over the yard with his nose to the ground, snorting and tail wagging. My question is there agility type of games for dogs who love to trace a scent?

This is Dexter, my gorgeous 7 year old rescued hound, & his 4 year old ball. He loves his ball & can find it anywhere we hide it in the house or yard. 2nd picture is his new ball. It squeaks like his old ball & smells like bacon. He seemed to like new ball & we played inside for a couple hours off & on. When I took him outside & threw it he ran to the ball sniffed it &walked away. The only ball he brings is the old one. What should I do? Thanx. Carolyn.

Made dog a treat dispenser from 1 water bottle. Normal plastic bottle with a hole on the side. I filled it with dog biscuits and then used a hot knife to make the hole ( with the biscuits inside.) I'm concerned if the biscuits are safe to eat.
I'm struggling to find toys that are fun and suitable for my 9 month old gsd pup. I have a kong, a kong ring and a couple of rope toys. He seems to like the kong for a little and the rope toys are fun for tug of war. I have children with stuffed animals and I don't want him to attribute those to chew toys if I get puppy toys that looked like stuffed animals...Also for chew time are Bully sticks the safest/best thing I can give him or do you have any recommendations for that as well?
