Best flea and tick preventive for a large 90+ lb one year old male dog
Just took my 9 month old puppy in for his weigh in before I give them his preventative meds and find out he is 62 pounds and all of these NexGuard flea and tick medication’s 25-60 lbwill not work for him. The vet said if I gave him the one of these that he wouldn’t be fully protected from fleas and ticks. Is there any way I can give him one and maybe a little bit of another NexGuard pill or am I better off trying to sell these? I’m really upset because I paid over $100 for these pills at Costco.
Lioh weighs 9.2 lbs and has been prescribed nexgard 4-10lbs (6 packets or 6 months worth). I know he will be gaining weight over the next 6 months and therefore donno know if I should get him 3 packs instead of 6. What would you advice?

Hello! My puppy is 4 months old and weighs 22 lbs. I'm going to purchase his flea and tick treatment. The treatment comes in different packets. The packet for my dog is from 10.1-24. He is growing fast and they only sale the treatment in packages of 3, 6 and 12. My question is if I can give my puppy the treatment for the 24.1-60 because in 1 or 2 weeks he would be 24lbs.
I gave my dogs their first dose of Nexgard two days ago. For dogs 10 to 20 pounds. My Chihuahua was fine after the first day. My Pom mix, who is larger and more energetic is now weak. She is still eating and drinking, but can't get up and walk outside anymore. Also in the last 2 days she seemed to develop a rash on her neck and has scratched the fur away from this area. Hello doctor! Does Nexgard have any side effects?
My dog is on Nexgard every 30 days. I realized she has gained 2 lbs in the last few months, so I’ve been underdosing her on the Nexgard by accident. Will she still be protected by fleas if she’s just 1-2 lbs over the dose weight? Or will she require a supplemental dose to get us through the rest of the month?
