Best flea and tick preventive for a large 90+ lb one year old male dog
Hello, I was wondering what would be the best product for flea and tick prevention for a puppy who is 6 months old? Preferably the drops, not the tick and flea collar. Thanks!
I have been using K9 advantix II for Pepe. It seemed the oral medication (forget the name, not BRAVECTO, my vet does not stock that one) was not working for ticks. I have used past 4 months, seemed to be working. However, now he has fleas! FRONTLINE PLUS worked well for Pugs that I had many years ago. I was advised against it, was told there was better stuff now. I have gone out to get some, but can I use it, the K9 advantix was put on 2 weeks ago. 3 Seresto collars were lost at daycare.
I am looking into purchasing heartworm medication for my puppy. I have already purchased K9 Advantix II which prevents fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. Knowing that mosquitoes transmit heartworm, do I still need to purchase heartworm medication for my pup? Or, will the K9 Advantix II prevent heartworm? If yes, is generic brand as good as heartguard? Also, if the K9 Advantix II is for medium dogs (11-20lbs) and my pup is only 8/9 lbs when I need to apply it, is it safe to use? Thanks in advance!

My dogs have spot on flea and tick treatment on. They are on their 2nd month of treatment yet they have fleas? I’ve tried different types including frontline which I stopped using for the same reason.

What type of product do you recommend for flea and tick control? I don't want to give my dog a oral medications and I've tried seresto collars but he got fleas and ticks anyways.
