Dog has a growth on elbow
My dog has a mast cell tumor on the back of his leg that is being treated (palliative care) with chemo therapy, prednisone and benadryl. However, after those medications, his leg is still so swollen and he seems like he is in pain/very lethargic. His groin is also quite bruised. Can I apply a cold or hot compress for the swelling? Is there anything else I can do?
My 13 yr old Blue heeler started limping on her R front leg a few weeks ago. She had some swelling behind her metatarsals so I ordered a velcro wrap to give her extra support for a sprain. Although the wrap and rest has helped and the swelling is gone from that area, she is very tender with a little swelling over the medial carpal and the last couple days she has been licking at it. I still think its a sprain, but would a splint and more rest be the way to go?
My 9 month American Bulldog at 90 lbs has hyagroma on both elbows. What is the best route to take? I bought a brace but he wont keep it on when Im not at home. I heard surgery is expensive and just as frustrating
My dog's rear ankles are swollen
I’ve read online to put and ice pack or something warm on a dogs sprained leg which one should I use?
Dog had an injury to back pad..vet said it was looking well after a week..is was slightly oozing last night after vet appt..hubby wrapped it a bit too tight now swollen
My 8 month old cane corso has what looks like a hygroma on his left elbow. About the size of a ping pong ball. What is the best treatment, it doesn't seem to be affecting him in any way. I've booked a consultation in advance. Thank you
I have an appointment tomorrow with my vet for a swollen front left leg. She is a 9 week old Bernedoodle who on Friday was released from the hospital after a week of hospitalization for Parvo Virus. She is recovering well but today her front leg where her IV line was, is very swollen at the elbow and ankle getting worse over the day.She is cautious with weight on it. Whines if it is pushed towards her and bites at me when I try to feel it.Is there anything to help with further swelling overnight?
My dog had surgery today for a torn acl. Upon picking the dog up post surgery, I noticed both his seresto collar and the cone applied were extremely tight. To the point where I could not fit a single finger under the cone. My dog was drooling extensively as well. I loosened both. Upon getting him home I noticed his neck had a swollen soft pouch that was not there prior to surgery. Could this be potential damage to his salivary gland due to the tightness of the cone/collar?
I just noticed small abrasions on my dog's front "elbow." Two spots had blood, which cleaned away. Below these is a small mass consistent with a sebaceous cyst. I rescued her from a shelter where she was left to lay a contrete floor, so I can understand the inflammation. I cleaned it with soap and water, H2O2, and may keep it covered with an antibiotic ointment under bandage. No sign of fever, malaise, etc. Warm compresses and clean the area regularly? Thanks.
My dog has a large growth between toes. Almost look like another toe. Swollen and sore. She keeps licking it raw. I just started to soak her foot in Epson salt water. Does witch hazel help too?
