How can I help my dog with his arthritis
Hello, I have a 7 year old black lab. He's a big boy who gets very hot in warm weather so likes to lie on the coolest surface he can find which is always hard. Consequently, he has callouses on his elbows but they have become a lot bigger this year and one of them looks sore. I just wondered what Ii could do to alleviate this problem. Is there a spray or some product which could help? Thank you.Judith Burke
What can I give my dog for pain he sprained his right front leg he's can bend it but walks with a limp
Hello - my French Bulldog has stiffness in her left clavicle area, stiffness of her muscles. She also has a fluid filled pocket underneath her jaw/ neck area. She had a 104 degree fever earlier this week but was given anti inflammatory and antibiotics. Been on them for about 5 days.
My 9 month American Bulldog at 90 lbs has hyagroma on both elbows. What is the best route to take? I bought a brace but he wont keep it on when Im not at home. I heard surgery is expensive and just as frustrating
My 14yr old lab is suffering from arthritis badly in her hips. What can I give her to help ease her pain that isn't a narcotic remedy but holistic instead? She's been my loyal friend, legs, & service dog for years & now it's my turn to comfort her as much & more like she's done for me! I live in Washington where CBD is legal & that does help her tremendously but she's still in pain, unable to get up at times without great effort, & at times her hips tremble. What do you suggest to help?
We have our dog in a splint for a broken leg, it is his 7th out of 9 weeks. The bandage became too tight around his ankle at some point last night and I was forced to cut it off this morning due to loss of circulation. I am able to rebangage it myself at this point, but am wondering if he needs any drugs to make the swelling go down or if it will reduce on its own through the day?
Our 195# English Mastiff, Hope, became very excited when we came home from an overnight trip and was jumping, lunging and circling around us. We noticed shortly after that she was limping on her hind right leg. She can put weight on it but favors it quite a bit and has a little trouble with the three steps off the deck to the yard. It's a little swollen in the joint (hock area). Kinda mimics a sprained ankle.... should we keep her off it as much as possible and ice it?
15 year old Bichon who weighs 15 lbs and has no chronic systemic illnesses but does have arthritis and noticeable stiffness. What pain medication can I give her daily?
My dogs herniated disc was not improving with repeated uses of meta cam we are now trying low dose prednisone over a 10 day period but he still seems uncomfortable can I use the meta cam at the same time or is it best not to. Can he take any other pain reliever until the steroids help him with the inflammation
My puppy seems to have pulled her tricep. She knocked me off my feet, and I fell onto her middle. i’m 130 lbs, and she’s 42 lbs. when she got up, she started to limp. This happened this morning. I put a warm pack on her leg, thinking it was her leg. But then I was looking her over and checking to see if pressing on ribs caused pain, she whimpered when I gently pushed her armpit out. What can I do to help her with pain? She won’t lay still!
My dog has been limping on his foot today. Last time this happened with his other paw the vet gave us metacam because he said it was just tissue bruising and it went away. It just looks swollen the same as last time. I'm trying to soak his foot in Epsom salt water but he doesn't like getting his feet touched and never has since he's a puppy. So I've been squirting the salt water onto his paw with a syringe but he runs away every time I do that. Any suggestions?
