Toxic blood worms

Toxic blood worms Killed my entire tank of mollys , platy, and guppy’s. Also killed a couple of my adult plecos. Blood Worms came from leaguecity. I would not buy them and feed to your fish. I’m considering not shopping at petco anymore after this.

I depend on Petco for well-fed, happy, healthy fish. My little swimmers are so spoiled with live bloodworms that they refuse to eat the dried version. Their colors are brighter and they're more active than when on dry food. Thank you Petco!

My. Panda cory and shrimp go into what seems like a frenzy every time i put two cubes in there. Only do it once a week and it's like a celebration lol. The price is actually not bad for the benefits. Great purchase.

My Cory’s love these bloodworms. Easy to thaw in a little tank water. As soon as they see the dropper they get all excited. Pretty fun to feed and it does not cloud up the tank water.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My fish love frozen bloodworms. This particular package had large cubes which we just slice into two. I usually buy a package with smaller cubes, but this was all that was available at the time. Regardless, great brand and great product.

We’re having a hard time grasping the tiny frozen bits to feed our baby axolotl. Are there specific tongs I should use that won’t hurt her tiny mouth. Do the individual worms show as the cube thaws? I’ve tried putting a chunk of the cube of bloodworms

  1. For Axolotl, what I did was slightly thaw the cube in tank water for 1 min. Drop cube in semi whole near axolotl, it will start to come apart and he would eat all the small worms.  By leaving semi solid, the settle in the same area, sort of. Worked for years. Good luck!

Is this good for axolotls?

  1. They are great for juvenile ones, not enough for adults. Keep them frozen and break it into small chunks then drop the frozen chunk on a feeding dish at the bottom of the tank. Ours loved them!
