My dog is on Vetoryl for diagnosed Cushing’s. His liver numbers still elevated. I read somewhere that dogs should not take Vetoryl if there is liver disease/damage. Is this true?
Can vetoryl cause appetite suppression
Dog takes vetoryl in morning. Accudentally give another dose this evening. What do i do?
doxie has cushings on vetoryl med, now, he is not drinking or eating much, he pee's/poops, has no energy, walks in circles, gets stuck, snaps at us(gentle) can I take him off the Vetoryl to see if he responds any differently he is on 15mg twice a day he weighs approx 8/9 lbs and is 11 YO
Can Vetoryl cause hind leg paralysis? Depression? What is treatment for these side effects? Also what natural treatment can be used.
My dog is 13 yr old , recently diagnosed with cushings & is on vetoryl. Is it safe to get dental cleanings & extractions if necessary?
My 16 year old dog has been taking Vetoryl for 2 weeks, she went herself twice today, was sick 48hrs ago ( isotope test normal at vets). She has lost weight has loose stools and no appetite and very tired . Dose 30mg. I'm worried sick.
Good morning! My 13 year old lab will start taking 120 mg of Vetoryl tomorrow. I'm leaving on vacation next Saturday for a week but I don't want to wait to start him on the medication. I'm concerned about the onset of side effects. Should I wait?
11.5 yr-old izzy was recently diagnosed with cushing's (most probably pituitary origin). his only symptoms are mild hair loss and fairly marked polydipsia/polyuria. he has some elevated liver enzymes but they've actually been improving without treatment. my vet wants to start him on medication (vetoryl) but i'm hesitant because neither he nor i am bothered by his drinking and peeing a lot, the medication is expensive, has side effects, and has to be monitored closely (he HATES going to the vet).
Skye was diagnosed with Cushings disease 1 year ago and is currently on 60mg Vetoryl. Last month she became incontinent and was treated with 15days oral antibiotics for a UTI. She was accident free for the 15 days but started again so had a long lasting antibiotic injection but had more accidents after 2 weeks. Could this be behavioural as she never does this at any other time than during the 3 hours between her afternoon and evening walks.
My older lab mix girl has had arthritis for 5+ years and seems to be in increasing pain (reluctant to jump & climb stairs; very careful when sitting or lying down). She's been on Glycoflex 3 chews, but I'm concerned she may need prescription painkillers. The problem is, she was also. diagnosed with Cushing's 3 years ago, and my understanding was that NSAIDS and opioids don't mix well with kidney diseases. She is *not* on Vetoryl. Can you advise? Thanks!
My14 year old Jack Russel has cushing's disease when 7 years old.He been doing great on vetoryl. He got acute kidney and his results came back normal. He went on paradle for his arthritis for 3 weeks. He not on them now for one month and is doing great. The liver was high do you think vetoryl or paradle might of cause this?or old age?will his liver go back to normal? My dog is eating and seems happy.I just don`t want his liver to get worse and to prevent anymore damage.I appreciate your advice.
