Vetoryl

My 16 year old dog has been taking Vetoryl for 2 weeks, she went herself twice today, was sick 48hrs ago ( isotope test normal at vets). She has lost weight has loose stools and no appetite and very tired . Dose 30mg. I'm worried sick.

11.5 yr-old izzy was recently diagnosed with cushing's (most probably pituitary origin). his only symptoms are mild hair loss and fairly marked polydipsia/polyuria. he has some elevated liver enzymes but they've actually been improving without treatment. my vet wants to start him on medication (vetoryl) but i'm hesitant because neither he nor i am bothered by his drinking and peeing a lot, the medication is expensive, has side effects, and has to be monitored closely (he HATES going to the vet).

Good day, my 10 year old fox terrier has heart disease and has been on Fortekor and Hills Diet HD for 8 years. Suddenly she has a very severe allergic reaction, which cortisone is not helping for. Can I feed her an alternative dry food to the HD? I don't want it to affect her heart. I only feed her the HD, no other foods. It started 2 months ago, and two rounds of cortisone has no effect. I am scared a third round will damage her kidneys.

What is a good joint medication for a dog who is ten years old?

My dog takes thyro tabs canine 0.2 mg once a day in the morning. I inadvertently gave him an extra dose in the evening. Should I be worried about overdose?

11 year old chihuahua has cushings disease (2 years) and gets treatment from holistic vet. She is on 2x6 drops of trilostane a day (down from 14 drops x2) plus natural medicine. She is very alert, loves walking, but her back legs are lame and front legs are very weak. She visits vet every 6 weeks. Ashley walks 15-20 min. daily, but seeing her falling over is heart breaking. She is in no pain and I massage her legs regularly. Is there anything else I can do to give her quality of life. Trudi

12-14 year old boxer w B hip dysplasia and boxer cardiomyopathy. on sotolol and rimadyl. also takes DES for hormonal incontinence. Progressive symptoms in past 6-8 months w SOB upon minimal exertion or excitement, very characteristic of lar par. wanted to know your thoughts on doxypin.

I've got a basset hound with what seems to be a common itch/scratch issue. Constantly scratching, but no bad hotspots or rashes. I've heard of vetalog. Is this a safe option? Does it only get administered by a vet? Thank you

Bella weights 90 pounds and she has always given by her veterinarian ACEPROMAZINE to help her deal with her fear and anxiety. She always takes 1 tablet/25 mg 60 minutes before she is seen. One tablet seems to do nothing to her, can i give her 1 1/2 tablets of 25 mg.?
