Can I purchase a new base for this cage? The wire cage is good but the plastic base has a large crack in it, as does the slide out drawer.

Is it okay to use this for a parakeet? The others are too small or too expensive.
- I have my cockatiel in this exact cage. He has a lot of toys and plenty play room. I also added a Lixit water bowl which he uses as a bath. I’m very happy with the cage.

what are the dimensions of the box that the cage is packaged in? I have to ship the cage overseas, so the measurements listed arent helpful since i wont ship the cage already assembled.

- Looks like 16 gauge bars, with 3/8" clear spaces between.

Grate removal. Afer pulling tray out how do you get the grate out?
- Sorry, but you have to remove the whole pan from the cage. It's easy to do but still a pain.

- Yes, I think 4 parakeets could fit in this cage. I have 3 in mine and think 1 more would be fine. But that is the max I would have in there without it being too crowded.
