Questions
For this product do we need a vet prescription to buy it or are you guys in charge of calling my dog's vet clinic for permission to this product Or do you prefer a prescription that my dog' doctor prescribe it?
- You have to have a prescription to purchase this item. If you have a hard copy you can provide during purchase process. Otherwise Petco can reach out to your vet to verify your pet has been prescribed this product.

My dogs are used to a dry food topped w/boiled chicken & carrots or sardines or eggs. Meds in peanut butter. What can I give them in addition to the hp dry food? They’re confused by plain dry food.
- My shepherd has similar experience. Hard boiled eggs and cheese on kibble and meds with peanut butter. Now I use the canned Royal Canin HP to give my shepherd her meds. I mush the pill into a ball of the canned food. Plus I put some of the canned in with her kibble. She has adapted to the change and seems OK with the new diet.

Looking everywhere and can't find any store with this in stock. I'm running low. I was able to order a bag (small) however it is also a week out and will still take time to get to me. In the future, is there ANY alternative to this food? dry or wet? Thanx
- Unfortunately, I don’t know. My Labrador mixed German Shepherd was very itchy so my Vet recommended this formula and it did make a big positive difference! I think the best person to answer your question is your dog’s vet. Sorry, I couldn’t help you better
