Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this puppy food for dramatically improving coat shine and softness, digestion, and appetite. Most report puppies eagerly consume meals, with even picky eaters enthusiastically eating every bite. Many note the small kibble size suits puppies well. Reviewers frequently mention resolved digestive issues including gas and upset stomachs, particularly for rescue dogs with sensitive stomachs. Coat improvements are consistently highlighted, with owners reporting strangers commenting on their dogs' appearance. A few report initial refusal or chewing difficulty, though these cases were rare and often resolved with time or mixing with wet food. Overall, customers consider this food highly effective and recommend it strongly.

Definitely Worth The Price!

When I got my puppy, I knew I wanted to feed her a better quality of puppy/dog food, but also stay within a certain budget. I did some research and decided to try Nutro. Not only did she love it, but it didn't take very much to fill her up. That was a huge plus to me since I have had dogs that did become overweight and sluggish, and I believe that was due to the dog food they were eating at the time. Here it is almost 2 years later and she is the perfect size for her breed and still incredibly playful. Nutro is not the cheapest brand, but I honestly feel like their dog food is worth the price!

I love this brand of dog food. It gives me the comfort, knowing that my dog will have a good stool coat and enough energy to take walks and it’s easy to prepare his food for his meals daily.

I was giving my dog 'Acana' dog food and decided to switch over. I didn't fully follow the food transitioning recommendations on the bag and my dog didn't have any problems.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I feel like I was tricked with this product, but I probably should have paid better attention. I was looking for Nutri Source Puppy food and Nutro came up. While it has the same ingredients as the other, my puppy does not like this food. I babysit my daughter' dogs and they will eat it. Thank goodness I won't have to not use it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and they were fed multiple brands. Once I got a puppy of my own, I did my research to see that this was one of the best foods for him! He loves it and I love that it keeps him healthy and happy!

Questions

1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Our 9 month old just got diagnosed with pancreatitis and looking for better dog food choices. How does this compare to other low fat options?

  1. I would ask your vet for recommendations, I used the Nurto brand for my Husky for 12.5 years.

My 4wk puppy is weaning, how much milk should I mix with the puppy food to make gruel? She's 5lbs

  1. Thank you for reaching out. We would suggest speaking with your veterinarian since they will have a more hands-on relationship with your pup and have a better understanding of her needs at this time. I can share our feeding recommendation for a pup of her age and size is as follows, for weaning to 3 months of age and weighing 5 pounds it would be about one and a quarter cups of our food a day!
