Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this fresh food for transforming picky eaters into eager diners, with most reporting visible improvements in coat shine, digestion, and energy levels. Reviewers consistently highlight that dogs previously uninterested in meals now run to their bowls, with many noting resolved digestive issues and improved vitality, especially in senior or sensitive-stomach dogs. The visible meat and vegetable chunks reinforce confidence in ingredient quality, and customers appreciate the convenience of pre-portioned frozen meals. A small number report flavor fatigue or texture concerns, and a few mention cost considerations, but most consider the health benefits worthwhile.

Dogs love it

Jennifer D.

I decided to mix things up and switched from beef to turkey. The dogs love it! Everyone comments on my older dog's coat - "She's sooo soft!" We adopted a big boy mix from OK. When he arrived his coat was coarse. Since he's been with us for 2 years I've noticed how wonderful his coat has become as well. My bull mastiff is 10 and I think her diet is a big reason she is so healthy.

The supplements are good. Have used for approx 15 years making fresh food for 3 dogs. On occasion I will buy the fresh frozen food. Our dog likes better than another competitor.

This is the only food our picky dog will eat. I wish you sold the smaller packs as she only eats half at a time

Ingredient changed

My dog who gobbled this recipe down now refuses to eat it. Seaweed meal was added as a probiotic and I’m guessing this is why she won’t eat it. So disappointed.

Horrible reaction

Ever since I started feeding my dog JustFoodForDogs, they have been pooping liquid, blood, mucus, you name it, and they poop out the carrots in hole as if they are not digesting the carrots. I thought maybe they just had tummy issues but I’ve given them medicine and testing but this all started once I started feeding them this food.

I trust. JFFD sincerity offering human grade product. However, my doggies need coaxing to begin , let alone finish a meal, so I am uncertain if their diet is balanced. I have tried multiple varieties with the same respnse.

Questions

1 - 5 of 5 Questions

I'm so bummed I bought the huge bags of beef and turkey for my 78lb amstaff with seasonal allergies and he ate one time and now won't eat it. He refuses to eat now. It's been in bowl since 5pm yesterday do I need to throw out? It's 3pm next day

  1. I normally throw it out after a day or so just depending on how it smells. Some start to stink quicker than others.

How long does it last in the freezer unopened

  1. 7 days

How much do you feed dogs that are under 10 pounds and 35lbs

  1. You should go to the Just Food For Dogs website. Answer their questions and they will tell you how much.

How many servings can you get out of this food for say a 6 lbs Chi? How often would you have to buy this food?

  1. First you need to figure out how much your pup needs to eat of this food by going to the JFFD website. Answer their questions and they will tell you. Mine eats 3/4 cup a day (but a scale is best with this food). I get about 7 days worth. My dog is 7.5 lbs. I take half and keep it frozen and take out as needed. You can also thaw and as soon as it’s opened portion to individual or daily feeding size, re-freeze, and take out nightly for the next day. Again you have to go online to figure out how much your dog needs. It’s based on size, age, and activity level.

This comes in 72ozs, is that one package or multiple small packages?

  1. I put it in a ziploc container in the fridge and just dish it out from there.
