Customers are divided on this product. Many praise the thoughtful design, low ramp, and spacious interior that allow reptiles to climb in and out easily, with textured pebbles providing excellent traction and a stable base preventing tipping. However, a large number report severe quality issues: the material cracks or splits within days of normal use, paint bubbles and peels into the water within days, and visible gaps cause leakage. Several customers expressed serious safety concerns about paint chips contaminating water. While some successfully sealed cracks or received replacements, most experiencing defects felt the product unsafe and not worth purchasing.

I bought this for my tiger salamander. Super easy for him to climb in and out of, and deep enough for him to soak. He loves it!

We are using this in a tortoise enclosure for juvis. The design allows them to climb in and out easily. The weight is solid, so it doesnt shift while they are moving in and out. Recommend buttressing the back against a wall or your pet may try to hop out of the back. If you are buying in-store, make sure to price match with Petco.com, it was half the price!

I've had this water dish now not even a month and a half and apparently it's not actual stone it's some kind of heavy molding clay and the color gray is not natural it's been painted so after a month and a half of water being in it the paint on the inside of the bowl has started to bubble up and Chip away in the water which is unacceptable you never paint the inside of a water dish.. I no longer have my receipt so I'm fighting with Petco to exchange this for something appropriate and safe considering this is a PetCo brand item I do not recommend this to anyone I suggest you stay clear of this item and be sure to ask questions before purchasing anything from the PetCo brand as I did not and now I'm paying for it... And I paid full price too ... Ugh

A day after putting plain water in it, the paint started to peel up and turned slimy, I'm glad my snake isn't dead like other people's. I bought it in the store, do not buy this.

Would this be big enough to make a dig box for a bearded dragon?

This is not large enough for a dig box, and it is a ramp bowl so it is not ideal for activity that is not soaking, drinking or other water activities.

Hi MamaBear85, This should only be regularly cleaned with soap and water, using a soft brush to clean in crevices where needed. Rinse off soap thoroughly before use. Thanks,

Hi tiff127, Yes, SKU 2806041 can be used for a frog. This quite a large bowl (13" L X 9" W X 2.5" H) for a small frog, but water levels can be adjusted as needed. If a smaller soaking dish is desired the below SKU would also work. IMAG-MEDIUM CORNER ROCK DISH 2820168 5 x 5.3 x 1.1 inches Thanks,
