I bought this as a backup for the digital thermometer i bought and it is perfect. Arrived quickly, great price and perfect condition. These work fine by themselves, but I wanted it just to have extra protection so my tank doesnt get too hot.

brought this as a surface thermometer for teh outside of the tank to compare the tank temp with a floating thermometer in the tank anf both theremomerters have teh same reading so yeah it works for reading the tank temp water

I just bought this product in a rush and installed it on the outside of my 15 gallon hospital tank. It has been over 24 hours and no reading....no colors anywhere on the strip.

I'm not even sure why I bought this one other than lack of options and need. Waste of money and I'll be replacing it very soon. The display shows 71* and 75* and the range of color between them is annoying. Almost every thermometer of this style has 72 74 76 78 and 80 as standard measures. Still regret the purchase but it's accurate-ish so that's fine.

They are very easy to break. The first one I got I didn't read the instructions and applied it to the inside of the tank, it read the temperature just the same but had removed it and applied it to the front, however the water damaged the sticky part a bit but it could still be read. I got a new one today and applied it correctly -- but tried to adjust it as the first application was crooked and now that made all the temperature indicators faded/turned grey and hard to determine the water's temperature. Glass or digital are better than this, surely.

I love these things. I don't set up an aquarium without sticking one to the outside. They are the perfect way to tell the temperature at a split second. I love that they are smaller and can easily be placed on the side of the tank so as not to be an eyesore. Will definitely buy more for every fish tank I set up.

I think I put it too low on the glass. I pulled off the strip and adhered it to the aquarium. Is there a way to move this thing without destroying it?

Did your actually peel off the adhesive having and stick it, or did you just use static cling? I don't think it will hurt your fish on the inside but i can't see it being very easy to read.

if you have a HALF gallon tank for a FISH, you better get a bigger tank bc it needs to be minimum 5 gallons

The strip shows Celsius on one side and Fahrenheit on the other. In between the sides, you should see a section that is colored which will be the temperature of the aquarium.

I only see orange color at 82 degrees and blue color at 78 degrees...how do I interpret this?

What’s the temp? I have attached the strip to the side of my tank but it shows 3 different colored blocks.. dark blue, light blue and purple-ish, so which one indicates the tank temp??? HELP
