Customers say

Customers overwhelmingly praise this cat food for dramatically reducing hairballs and high palatability. Most report their cats eagerly eat it, with many describing noticeable decreases in hairball issues—particularly long-haired and senior cats. Reviewers note picky eaters now accept it consistently, and several mention no longer needing hairball supplements. A few customers report the kibble size runs large for smaller cats, and a small number experienced no improvement, but these concerns are rare. Overall, most consider it highly effective and worth feeding long-term.

Just started on this journey with my cat. She just hit her elder/older years and went on a food strike from the food she ate for literal years and started struggling with significant weight loss and hair balls and hunger that only wet food could help, even though it wasn't great for her. After about a week ish? On this food she gained weight predictably looks and feels comfortable happier over all and signifcant improvement in hairball and eating problems. I knew vets generally recommended this but with some good research and consideration its been the best choice for me and my big baby <3 if you cats struggling with the crunch I soften lightly with water, wet food or chicken bone jelly

This product has GREATLY reduced both the SIZE and the FREQUENCY of our cats' hairballs. Although I still give them some Laxatone about once/week, this is food has helped SIGNIFICANTLY (especially considering they HATE to be given the Laxatone). I mix it 50:50 w/Hills Prescription DD (Duck), our younger male, "fishes out" and almost INHALES the large crunchy Hairball Control kibble! My only complaint is that it is usually a large kibble and the most recent package contains a much smaller kibble (which is better for our small, female cat who has had teeth removed).

They changed the formula from the round nuggets to these sort of flat triangle shapes and it gave my cat uncontrollable diarrhea with blood in it. We went to the vet and had them do everything, none of it helped. I threw away the food and switched to a different one and he got better immediately.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Large hard pieces

Love my cat

I bought this product for my 11yr old cat. I didn’t realize the size of the pieces were so big……i usually get the sensitive stomach and skin formula, the pieces are small and much more manageable for her. Anyway, she can’t really eat it. And we are back to the other formula. Why are the pieces so big????

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Which food is the best for a 3 month old kitten that need fiber?

  1. I agree with the pumpkin as a fiber source, my dog at the end of her time recently was having serious problems with going to the bathroom and needed a fiber boost to try and help and not only did it help her it actually made her enjoy eating more. Like the previous post said not pumpkin pie filling as the spices would cause your kit more problems but just unspiced canned pumpkin. One caution about it though is make sure you keep it covered and refrigerated (a canned pet food cover works great) but also keep an eye on it because I found that even covered and refrigerated it can start to form mold fairly quickly and you don't want the little guy eating that.

Why can't the re-closeable bags be improved so they actually do re-close.

  1. Thank you for your post! We understand that the quality and functionality of the packaging is an integral part of the overall product quality and apologize that this product is not meeting your expectations. We take comment from our customers very seriously and have forwarded your comment to the appropriate department. We appreciate your feedback and time!

the science diet for 7 yr old cats is it the triangles

  1. Yes they are the little pyramids, not the balls.
