I’ve been trying Blue Buffalo Chicken & Brown Rice dog food, and overall I think it’s a pretty good option for dogs. It has real chicken as the first ingredient, and I like that it uses brown rice and other ingredients such as vegetables and added vitamins and minerals. Pros: Real chicken is the first ingredient. Contains brown rice, which provides carbohydrates and fiber. No corn, wheat, or soy. No chicken or poultry by-product meals. No artificial flavors or preservatives. Provides a good source of protein for everyday feeding. My dog seems to enjoy the taste and has no problem eating it. Cons: It can be more expensive than some other dog foods. Chicken may not be a good choice for dogs with chicken allergies or sensitivities. Some dogs may have digestive issues when switching to it too quickly. The ingredient list is fairly long compared with some limited-ingredient foods. Overall: I would give Blue Buffalo Chicken & Brown Rice 4 out of 5 stars. It has some good ingredients and is a solid everyday food for many dogs. The biggest downsides are the price and the fact that it may not be suitable for dogs with certain food sensitivities. As with any dog food, what works best depends on the individual dog.
