I always thought camera bird feeders were cool but I didn’t think I would need or want one, what’s the point when I can watch them myself? I must say I am so happy I finally got one! I mounted my “Birdfy Feeder Ebony - Wooden Smart Bird Feeder” on a cedar post in my front yard, and it’s been amazing watching all the different birds that visit throughout the day. I never realized how much activity I was missing until I could see everything up close! The birds found it quickly and have been visiting regularly! I also am finding I don’t have to fill it as often as I thought, the bird food reservoir holds quite a bit! The camera quality is excellent, and I love getting notifications or just being able to go through them at my leisure. The AI bird identification is usually very accurate, and the app makes it easy to save photos and videos. The app is cool too because there is a “community” feature where you can see other people’s photos they’ve shared. The solar panel is a great addition, and it’s been well worth it. I haven’t had to worry about charging the feeder, even with frequent use. I did paint the wood with a varnish to protect it from the elements as recommended. If you’re thinking about buying a smart bird feeder, I can’t recommend Birdfy enough. Well made feeder, attractive looking, and easy to set up and install.

Having a built in solar panel is awesome. The camera attaches in the space with the cable and a magnet. The squirrel did manage to knock it out once, but I made sure it was secure and it has stayed in there ever since. You really get an up close and personal view on this camera. It holds alot of seed and it is an attractive addition to the backyard collection.

It even came with a little sign that attaches to the feeder (and stickers!) so you can customize your feeder. Warning: Don't waste your time making a sign to deter the squirrels, they won't read it. Ha!

We have a few other Birdfy feeders and this one was the easiest to setup and it holds a lot more seed than the other feeders. We love it so much and the videos are great. I highly recommend this feeder

I love this feeder. I set it up a couple days ago and the birds love it! Setup was extremely easy. After you fully charge the camera you follow the prompts once the app is installed. I got stuck on one part and it even ask if I needed help. It was user error on my part and didn’t have anything to do with the product. I love that the video includes the day and time the birds were there. It also has a calendar and you can go back and look at different days since it store the videos. I highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to add this Birdfy feeder to my expanding bird feeding station. The Birdfy Feeder Ebony is my first wood feeder and it is absolutely gorgeous. Setup was very easy. There is an instruction book that explains the basics. And the Birdfy app walks you though the techy side of setup. I chose to purchase a food grade beeswax to help seal the outside wood on this feeder to keep it looking great for a long time. Applying the beeswax was easy. Mounting the feeder was very easy. Mounting hardware is included for a variety of mounting options. The seed hopper is huge which is great for my backyard birds because they're plentiful and eat a lot so this allows the feeder to stay full longer. Filing the feeder while mounted is easy and I love that there's a safety bar that fits into a notch to keep the feeder lid closed no matter the weather. Photo and video quality has been excellent. I love the angle of the camera. And I love the convenience of the built in solar panel so that I won't have to worry about keeping the battery charged! I also wanted to note that when I ordered this the shipping was ultra fast. I wasn't expecting to receive it so quickly! I'm pleased with this feeder. I would not hesitate to add another one of these to my feeder collection!
