Again, I don't think you need to be worried about this. What are you worried about? Rabies? Skin infection? Just clean the scratches with antiseptic cleaner. If this is a rat bite there is a risk it will get infected, and it may turn into an abscess, or the infection may spread elsewhere, which can be dangerous to Bini’s health. Rats can carry a number of diseases that can be dangerous to humans as well, so I advise you to have Bini seen by a vet to address the potential bite. The area is likely very sore, and Bini will probably not let you clean it appropriately at home. Although rabies transmission from a rat bite is uncommon, it is not impossible, so your vet will need to address monitoring/vaccinating Bini accordingly. Bacterial and parasitic diseases usually require a certain amount be ingested before they cause disease. It would take more than a lick to the outside of the mouth to give a substantial amount. There are some scary diseases like hantavirus that can be spread quite easily though. However, it is relatively rare. The best thing you can do to rule-out disease is by taking the rat to a state laboratory for testing. The government has disease monitoring laboratories that will examine and test the body for diseases of concern in your area. It appears that you have done a good job washing away any potential contaminants and it would be rare for you to have contracted anything. You need to speak to a human physician regarding YOUR health. If Bini doesn't show any signs of rabies 10 days after she scratched you then you did not get rabies from that incident. She is out of the woods on having rabies 6 months from the vaccine. I wish you the best!
