Updated on September 23rd, 2025

I got a few questions 1) How hard is it to get a Vet Nurse/Tech Job (what do you need to study) 2) What’s the average salary for a Vet Nurse/Tech 3) Can you just be an rabbit vet nurse?

There are 2 year and 4 year degree programs in Veterinary Science Technology. Contact your local community college for additional information. The difficulty will depend on how much work and studying you put into it. The average yearly salary runs between $30,000US and $40,000US. There will be clinics that pay less or pay more. You can specialize in exotics, but you will likely not find a clinic that sees just rabbits.
