Why did my rabbit fall and spin her head, but now seems okay?

Sorry to hear that Luna is having some issues. Sometimes in rabbits, symptoms that appear to be of a neurologic origin can actually have to do with problems with the ears. I would recommend having her ears thoroughly examined and cleaned if necessary. Another possibility is if Luna has been affected by the micro E. Cuniculi. This is a protozoal organism that can affected multiple bodily systems, one of which is neurologic. The treatment for this condition is typically antibiotics, dewormers, and anti-inflammatories. These would be my top two suspicions, so I would contact a vet who is familiar with rabbits and have her examined some time soon.

Poor Hazel, I would keep an eye on her. If she is back to her normal self and hopping around fine, eating and passing droppings then I guess the trauma was minor and she has fully recovered. However, if she should show any abnormalities, I would definitely recommend to have her checked over.

For that reason, I recommend that you have Lilly evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If an infection is noted, medications could be recommended for that. This can occur due to many different causes including infections, inflammation, tumors, and other causes. If Mocha is eating, drinking, pooping and peeing normally right now, you can monitor Mocha for now. I would recommend however to have Mocha seen by a rabbit veterinarian as soon as you are able to get an appointment. I would also recommend trying to get one of these episodes on tape if you can, so if you see it happening try to record it. Best of luck with Mocha.

As long as Bella is still eating, drinking, and pooping normally I would not be too concerned with the spasms. If she stops acting normal or exhibits any of these signs listed above, especially if she stops eating, then I would recommend taking her in to your vet right away. Rabbits can develop a very serious condition called gut stasis and if not treated can be potentially lethal. Hopefully you will not have to worry about this with Bella but I wanted to give you signs to look for just in case. Best of luck!

Usually these signs are compatible with a neurological disease caused by a parasite called E.cuniculi. Once a rabbit has E.cuniculi it passes on the infection through spores in its urine. Other rabbits pick up the disease by eating these spores in urine-contaminated food and water. Unborn kits — baby rabbits — may also be infected during pregnancy. 50mg/kg of panacur once daily for a month is the standard treatment but once signs are evident the prognosis is guarded to poor despite the treatment. I would recommend to isolate sick rabbits and maintain hygiene standards very high. This case is a touch tricky, because my first advice is absolutely that if Ziggy seems the slightest bit off, he should go immediately and directly to the nearest veterinary clinic for emergency care. The fall from your kitchen unit could have injured either his back or his head - and such injuries require immediate attention from a veterinarian. However, extreme stress can also be dangerous for rabbits, and with the stress of the bath, the fall, and now being wet and cold, the best thing for Ziggy may be to have some quiet time in a safe, dark, quiet place to relax while he dries off and calms down. So, I recommend you watch him really closely. If he seems to be moving around ok and is acting mentally appropriate/normal, then keep him somewhere comfortable, quiet, and dark to relax and dry off. However, if he is sluggish, not moving normally, breathing abnormally, or in any other way is acting abnormal, then you should rush him directly to the vet. When in doubt, absolutely call your nearest emergency clinic and talk to someone on the phone, who can walk you through assessing Ziggy and can help you make the best decision about rushing him in versus letting him relax.
