Why is my hamster shaking and not walking properly? Is he dying?

I am sorry to hear about Stig. If he is in a warm room and we are sure the shaking isn't from being chilled I would be concerned about his health. Unfortunately hamsters do have a short lifespan and some can live to 3 years, 2 years is a common age. I would consider bringing him in to a vet that sees exotic pets for an exam, in case there is something that can be done for him based on his examination.

Those symptoms tend to happen in very sick hamsters, usually due to severe dehydration. most hamsters do not recover from turning that ill but if you want to give her a chance to survive you will have to take her urgently to a vet in order to attempt supportive treatment.

Unfortunately it sounds as if your hamster is very sick. The life span of a hamster is 1.5-2 years so Milla is considered an older hamster. If you are unable to take her to be examined by a veterinarian the best thing you can do for her at home is keep her warm and dry and encourage her to eat as much as possible, even if you are able to hand feed her. Poor Bubbles! The signs you are describing can be due to low blood sugar, seizures, or a severe infection. I recommend making sure that Bubbles has access to plenty of food and water, you can also try moistening some of her pellets with water to make them easier to consume. If this continues, I recommend having Bubbles seen by a veterinarian for supportive care.

I am so sorry to hear that tour Syrian hamster is not well. It sounds like he is possibly in pain and may have an infection. Unfortunately with prey animal species like hamsters, they do not tend to show signs of being unwell until they are actually very sick. They tend to hide signs their body is not well longer, then other species. For this reason I would advise taking your hamster to your veterinarian. It is very likely they will be able to provide medication, such as antibiotics to try to help him recover. The vet will also be able to provide medication for pain relief and healing. Morty sounds really bad, and leaving him like this would be cruel. Dying is not a pain free process. He has to see a vet now, even if it's just to put him to sleep. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

I’m so sorry that Cookie isn’t doing well. It sounds like he may be sick. There are several things that could be going on like an infection, cancer and more. It is hard to say whether he is dying without doin an exam on him. It does worry me that he is cold though. If you are able to take her to the vet then I would. The vet will be able to tel Lyon what is wrong and whether he can be helped with some medicine. I hope this helps!
