My hamsters' mouths are watering. Is it heatstroke or illness?

If they are sneezing but otherwise eating, drinking and acting normally I would not be too concerned. I would recommend adding a humidifier to their room to help moisten the air. This may help with their respiratory issues. If the sneezing becomes excessive, they become lethargic, or stop eating, you will have to take them to the vet because they will likely need antibiotics. Short answer yes. Hamsters may suffer from a condition called “wet tail” which usually manifest itself with watery stools. Because their body doesn't absorb water properly they tend to drink a lot. This condition is usually fatal if not treated ASAP. Of course there could be many more reasons for a hamster to suddenly drink more (like change of food or kidney problems) but “wet tail” is the most common condition to cause this symptom. I would advice to take him to the vet, the sooner the better. Food luck!

These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver), which is a very concerning sign in hamsters. Other diseases that cause hyper-salivation such as pain may manifest in similar signs. A visit to the veterinarian is needed, and analgesia might improve things. Good luck.

He could have had a stroke or these signs could be compatible with an inflammation of the middle ear (causing vestibular signs).
