Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Female
My hamster had a lump on her neck for a couple days And it has ruptured. We have called the vet to see if they could provide us any info on how to treat and they wouldnt. Are there any remedies that we can try at home? Shes still eating and drinking.

This could be either a tumor or an abscess, because of his age an abscess is more likely. you will have to take him to the vet so they can open the abscess and drain it, this is not something that can be done at home.

Since he won't hold still, its hard to say what the lump is. I would guess either a cyst, tumor or an abscess. I would recommend to take him into the veterinarian for an exam and see what they think it is. Abscesses should be treated. The other two, potentially not. This will determine if treatment is an option of not. Best of luck with little Dude!
