Im worried about my guinea pig, Tazo who I just got on July 1. I dont think he is eating enough vitamin C. I observed cage where he came from and noticed that he was only fed timothy hay, kaytees fortified daily pellets, and lettuce. He is brave enough to be hand fed by me. I tried had feeding him bell pepper but all he does is sniffs it and looks at me as if i am giving him a piece of cardboard to eat. Ive also tried putting it into a bowl and letting him eat it. Could you help me please?

You may want to try a variety of foods that are high in vit c like kiwi, kale, dandelion, parsley, and oranges. If he won't take any fresh fruits you can add tang orange powder (a human powdered drink) to his water and see if he will drink it that way. I hope this helps!
