I feel that both of my guinea aren't drinking enough water. Each morning I check to see if they drank water and it seems that they barely touched it. I can tell they are drinking because I have seen them but Im not sure if they are drinking enough. How much are they suppose to drink and how can I get them to drink more water.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach, Jill! Guinea pigs typically don't drink much water and tend to make a mess of any water dishes placed in their cage. You can make sure Sweetpea stays hydrated by offering her treats such as carrots, cucumbers, and melon. As long as Sweetpea is urinating, defecating, and acting normally, you should not need to be overly concerned. I hope all is well!

There are many reasons this could be happening. It could be related to their diet. It could be they don't like the taste of their water. They may not like the water source (bowl versus bottle).
