Is my guinea pig's cage big enough? What size is recommended?

I would recommend buying a cage with plenty of room for Daisy and Stella to move around. If they are new additions to the house I would take them to a vet for a good exam to make sure they are healthy. At local pet stores they sell bedding and food for guinea pigs. I recommend handling them often which helps make them friendly and become a good pet

Thanks for your question about your guinea pigs. It depends on how far you are going. If it is only a couple of hours or so, the crate that you have in the photo should be okay. I would recommend having a place for them to hide, a towel or bedding on the bottom, and some access to food/snacks. If you are making a longer trip, such as overnight, then you’ll need a larger area for them. You’ll still need to include the same components - place to hide, bedding, and food - but you’ll want to include hay for them to access at all times, and then when you stop for breaks you can offer them pellets or greens so that they can eat while the vehicle is stopped. You’ll also want to offer them water at stops so they can drink. I also recommend covering part of th travel cage with a towel or blanket so they feel more secure. I recommend choosing the larger cage for sweet pea. Hamsters like to have separate bathroom / toilet areas well away from their bedding, so the one with the biggest base area is the best. Height of cage is less important. Also provide safe chewing sticks for her to gnaw her teeth on.

Guinea pigs may be too large to play inside a ball, but you can still set up a safe activity area outside of their cage environment with the use of an X-pen or other foldable gates. You can then fill that area with toys to play with and chew on, hay to munch on, and other fun activities. This can help your piggies stretch and get a little exercise while still being safe and staying out of areas that may cause harm.

Dog: I personally recommend that they live indoors, it's safer for them inside and they always will be sheltered from the weather. If the dog is kept outdoors, the kennel needs to be big enough that they can stand in it, turn around, lay down, and stretch out as well as move around. There should be a roof on it, and the sides should be made of a metal mesh to allow air flow. Horse: Typically horses are kept in stalls. A 12x12 foot stall is suitable for a 1000+ pound horse. Rabbit: They are kept in hutches or cages, and the minimum recommended living space is is 12 square feet (1.1 square meters) with the addition of a larger area of 32 square feet for exercise. Bird: They are kept in cages, and it should be big enough to allow the bird to fly freely through the cage and have plenty of room for toys and enrichment.
