Gerbil groggy after eating grapes. Is it sick? What should I do?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Gerbil | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 10 months old

My gerbil has become groggy and is not acting normal. I fed them fresh food for first time In a while 2 days ago- spinach and grapes. Is this an issue? What can I do?

Thanks for reaching out about Nibbles. It would be a concern that the sugar in the grapes could cause an intestinal problem. If Nibbles is acting lethargic or painful, decreased appetite or sick in any other manner, he should be seem by a veterinarian. Antibiotics or other medications might be in order.
