When are my new ferret's next vaccinations or shots due?

Thanks for reaching out about Danger Ziggy Green. The schedule for vaccinations is based on the age of the ferret not the purchase date. Distemper vaccines recommended at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. First rabies vaccine at 16 weeks. Different veterinarians have slightly different vaccination schedules, so call your local veterinarian.

    Her is a perfect vaccination schedule by the American Ferret Association: https://www.ferret.org/read/vaccinations.html
    A one time distemper vaccination is not sufficient, your ferret will need at least two courses for a basic vaccination and then an annual repeat.
