If my ferret lives past average lifespan, is she truly healthy?

My ferret she’s 7 years old and the maximum lifespan is 8. If my ferret passes 8 years does that means she’s healthy?

Eight is an average lifespan for a ferret - it is not the maximum age. I have treated many ferrets older than 8 years. Just because an animal lives to a certain age doesn't necessarily mean it's healthy. Many animals have underlying medical conditions that don't cause immediate death. Alive does not equal healthy.

If you want to know if Light is healthy it is best to take her to a vet for an exam.
