Can I add a snail or other tank mates to my 3.7 gallon betta tank?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Fish | Betta | Male | unneutered | 4 months and 7 days old | 0.2 lbs

I know that bettas aren’t technically lonely if they are alone but would it be okay to add a snail or anything else to the a 3.7 gallon tank with a male betta

A snail would be fine but anything else and the Betta may try to bully or pick at it. Most fish ignore snails but watch closely that Norman does not take a lot of interest in the snail. If he does, you will need rehome the snail.
