Is it okay to split my dog's Cosequin and fish oil supplement doses?

I recommend calling your vet to make sure that the total dosage is correct and that Uzzi is still receiving the correct amount per dose. You should also let your vet know of any side effects you are seeing as they may consider a shorter course, changing antibiotics, or adding probiotics. I think it has more to do with the amount of EPA and DHA per serving. With the liquid, there's likely less of these fatty acids per serving so it requires more of the product to get the recommended daily amount. Even half the amount will still be beneficial, and it's fine to do less than recommended. That's because too much fish oil can have detrimental effects on the dog's body, such as interference with wound healing. Recommended daily levels are typically low enough to prevent this from occurring, but having less than recommended is fine :-)

You can give the fish oil pills 3x a week to lessen the amount, but to get the full benefits of it, it should be given daily. Because the amount of those pills is still well within the recommended dose range, it is fine to give them daily.

I recommend giving the salmon oil in the food in the evening and the other two with the morning feeding. I don’t like to give a water soluable vitamins at the same time a fat soluble vitamin. Hello again! If you are already giving a joint supplement and fish oil, do not give Chloe this additional supplement. Too much fish oil isn't good for her. I'd give the joint tablet and fish oil only. Cosequin is important for her to have for her joint health, and Nordic naturals fish oil is a good brand.

Give them according to the instructions on the bottle. I would just give the Dasuquin as it is more comprehensive and better Quality Both preparations contain chondroitin and glucosamine, but Dasuquin has additional ingredients which enhance the bioavailability.

Yes, that is fine to give once a day. I recommend a maximum of 750 mg of fish oil per 10 lbs of body weight in a dog. That brand if fine to give. I highly recommend using an omega 3 supplement like this to reduce joint pain and inflammation, and it will help the skin and coat also.
