So sorry about the problems after your dog's spay. If your dog is licking near or around the incision or at the clipper irritation, then you need to obtain an elizabethan collar or a Donut from your veterinarian or PetCo to help avoid further licking. I would keep in place until you have a chance to reach out to your veterinarian tomorrow, then you might want to drop by and have your dogs incision and skin double checked for any complications and advise as to treatment, if any, Normally animals receive some kind of pain management in the form of oral medication post op for spay operations, so double check that you are giving the medication prescribed or ask for medication when you see your veterinarian. This will help to cut down on licking or chewing. Lastly, there is no harm in applying a small amount of soothing ointment to the skin rash such as Neosporin or hydrocortisone cream a couple of times a day to help reduce the soreness and induce healing of the clipper rash until you can see your veterinarian. Despite you not being able to reach your veterinarian, please follow up with them as soon as you can Monday morning as most clinics want to be sure their animals receiving surgical get support and treatment whenever there is a complication. Poor girl, that doesn't look very comfortable. I'd recommend wiping the areas of with hydrogen peroxide once (avoiding the incision for her spay), and then putting her in a baby onsie (maybe two) in addition to an e-collar. The onsie is to protect her a skin if she tries to scratch. If it's looking worse instead of better after 24 hours, I'd recommend taking her back to the vet to see if she need antibiotics. Itching or licking damages skin, which allows normal bacteria on the surface to set up a mild infection, and sometimes the immune system can clear it up if the itching stops, but sometimes oral or topical medications are required.

It may be a local infection or reaction to the sutures under the skin. I would recommend that you have Dakota examined by the vet that spayed her and have them check if there is infection, which may need a course of antibiotics. If it is a tissue reaction and there is no bacteria, then a round of anti-inflammatories may help with inflammation subside. Make sure she can lick or scratch at it, since that could make it worse or cause infection.

Her vagina will probably return to normal size in a few months, this typically happens after a dog is spayed. the redness and itching are probably allergy related, this will need to be checked and treated with allergy meds by a vet. Kennel cough in most cases does not require treatment but she is on antibiotics already so no reason to worry, it will resolve soon. regarding the licking of the spay wound, you need to put an e-collar around her neck for 2 weeks post surgery to prevent this from happening.

This presentation could be due to a localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria or fungal). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics or antifungal meds (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths twice daily for the next 4-5 days. Buster collar may be useful again as well to avoid any licking/scratching (if any) . I am concerned that it looks like bruising, and that there appears to be a large scab over the incision. Neither of these things are particularly uncommon, but both warrant an exam by a veterinarian to ensure that there is no infection, fluid pockets, or bleeding that could occur after any surgery. Also, make sure that Sandy wears her e-collar at all times to prevent licking as this could make the possible issues even worse.

The area certainly looks less inflamed. As long as there is not discharge, heat, worsening of swelling, or pain I would not be overly concerned. I would keep her cone on until the inflammation is resolved. You do not need to clean the area overly as this can cause more irritation to the skin. The incision itself looks healed but has areas of irritation. This should resolve, if not I would be worried about a suture reaction or incisional infection and then she should certainly see a veterinarian.
