Why is my senior dog slow after cruciate surgery: age or recovery?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 9 years and 6 months old | 33 lbs

Our terrier cross,EST age 9-10years had cruciate op about a year ago. Since op has become slower and slower when out walking.Could this be age related or an effect(post operative) ?

This is most likely a combination of both of those things. I would talk to your veterinarian about getting her on some pet glucosamine and possibly a pet anti-inflammatory to help him feel more comfortable.
