My senior chihuahua mix is shaking, not eating, and throwing up. Why?

I would recommend taking Basil to see a veterinarian. Without a complete physical examination it is very difficult to say if it is time for Basil. The veterinarian can discuss with your friend if treatment or diagnostics is something that would help Basil or if something worse is going on with her that cannot be treated. He will be carefully examined to determine if this is the case or if he has another problem. Based on these results and any diagnostic testing, treatment recommendations can be made. Shaking can be a sign of anxiety, but it can also be a sign of pain. Back/neck and abdominal pain in particular can be difficult to localize and sometimes reluctance to move and shaking are the only signs. Shaking can also be a sign of a fever. If you think Peanut might be painful or if he continues to show no interest in his regular food I'd recommend seeing your vet for an exam. They can look for a source of pain and evaluate his temperature.

Lili is experiencing very general symptoms of disease, these symptoms could fit almost any internal condition, maybe she is suffering from nausea due to a gastrointestinal disease and maybe she is in pain, from the symptoms described it's very hard to know. i would recommend taking her to the vet as soon as possible in order to get her checked, if she doesn't show any other obvious symptoms during the examination, a blood test and possibly an ultrasound will be needed in order to try and find out what is wrong with her.
