Pet's info: Dog | Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 10 years and 8 months old | 44 lbs
10year old Male corgi. Has started trembles and scared and gets distant. Panting and shaking alot. We have been to his Vet they give him a shot of steroids antibiotics and antacid seems to help back to normal for a couple of weeks. We have been back 2 times last time they did blood test all normal. They did X ray shows arthritis rear hips knees. Shows his heart touching the sternum abit. He sleeps all day and figits at night. He eats and drinks normal. He has started a rabbit poop eating habbit.

It could be Moe is suffering from canine cognitive dysfunction, which can cause a sudden change in behavior. I'd have him checked out by a vet, as there may be diet changes and medication that can help you. Take him into a vet today. Best of luck.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Hersh. He may have a condition known as canine cognitive dysfunction. This is somewhat similar to Alzheimer's disease in people. The dog can exhibit anxiety at night, pace, vocalize, get stuck in small rooms or corners. Some will seem to forget their house training and have accidents in the home. If these other symptoms sound familiar, it would be worth having him evaluated by his veterinarian. There are medications, supplements or diets that can be recommended. I hope this information helps!
