My recommendation is to separate the powder from ONE pouch into 4 equal parts. Then take one of those parts and separate it again into 2 parts and give each puppy one of those parts. That would treat 1.25 pounds which will be fine for those puppies. Each puppy needs that same dose once a day for 3 consecutive days. Don't get too crazy separating every grain of powder. This is correct. That medication has a very wide dosing range and it is very safe. Resistance to this medications is starting to becoming a problem so we have started to use the higher end of the dose range.

Safeguard is Fenbendazole, as is Panacur. So you can use it and it will be just as effective if you make sure to give it according to the exact weight of your dog. You need to give it according to the instructions on the box. If you suspect your dogs have a lot of worms, you should worm them twice (the prescribed course) at a 2 week interval.
