My 6-week-old puppy pooped. Is dog shampoo safe for his skin?

Pet's info: Dog | Cane Corso | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 1 day old | 4 lbs

I left my dog in the kennel and he pooped and got it all over him he is 6 weeks old and I used dog shampoo I know it can strip the oil on his skin which I just read will he be okay.

You do not need to use shampoo. Poop is water soluble and will wash off just with luke warm water. If you want to get rid of any residual smell, wash off the poop with water first and then take a very small amount of doggie or baby shampoo , spread it on your hands and then rub it on your puppy and immediately rinse the puppy.. This should work. Only wash your puppy when it is soiled with poop or similar horrible things. No need to wash it regularly.
