My puppy has white lumps, is weak, and won't eat. Is it serious?

I recommend getting him in to see your vet as soon as possible about the loss of appetite and diarrhea. Puppies that young can dehydrate easily and their blood sugar can drop quickly to life-threatening levels. The diarrhea could be caused by parasites, a bacterial or viral infection, or possibly swallowing something he shouldn't have, irritating the GI tract or, more seriously, getting stuck and causing an obstruction. The skin I'm less worried about, though that can be addressed at the same visit. Many puppies develop what is called puppy pyoderma, which is roughly equivalent to acne in humans. Most outgrow it and it rarely gets bad enough to require medication, but sometimes antibiotics and therapeutic bathing is needed to help them heal more quickly.

Lethargy, trouble walking, not eating/pooping are all signs of weakness and being generally unwell. This can be due to many causes however for a dog that is 2 years old I would be concerned about things such as fungal disease, parasite disease, heartworm, Addison's disease, or sometimes it can be more simple like an abscess. The wheezing is concerning that he has trouble in his lungs or heart, so heartworm is a concern. The squishy lump could be an abscess (pus filled pocket) and this could cause all the signs you are seeing as well. Either way, I recommend you get him to a vet right away, even a simple thing such as an abscess, which is fixed fairly easily, can be fatal if not treated in time. Best of luck with Champ! There may be something besides the skin thing going on if this is the case. I would highly recommend having Hustler tested for lice, especially if you are seeing white things on he haircoat. Lice in pets is usually not contagious to people and can cause intense itching and irritation. Lice can be treated with prescription medication from your vet. The vet may also want to run some bloodwork if Hustler is also not eating, since this can't be explained by possible lice but instead an internal illness (i.e. Viral, bacterial infection or upset stomach) may be present. You can try offering a bland diet of boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese for now until he is thoroughly examined. I wish you all the best in getting Hustler welL. Take care.

This lump on Siu q could be a benign tumor, a cyst, an abscess, or a lipoma. It would be rare for such a young dog to have a malignant tumor, but it is possible. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. I would take Siu q into the vet today or tomorrow to have this lump examined and diagnosed so it can be treated as needed. As for the lack of appetite and lethargy, those are very general signs of illness in dogs, and it could be caused by systemic illness, infection, inflammation, or injury. Because Siu q is going to see the vet for this lump, I would have a health check done on her as well to diagnose the cause of the lethargy and lack of appetite.

Possible causes: infected uterus since she is not spayed, cancer, foreign body (ate something that is stuck in her stomach or intestines), or intestinal parasites. I would need more information about what tests your Vet ran: blood work, stool sample or X-rays of her belly? If those things have not been done then I would recheck with your Vet as soon as possible. An infected uterus and a foreign body are emergency surgeries and can be life saving if done early. If she has cancer the best thing would be to discuss humane euthanasia since Sasha is suffering. I am very sorry and I with you and Sasha the best.

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. The skin issues may be due to a mild skin infection. I recommend that you have Kenobi evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Hello there! It sounds like Brownie needs veterinary help at this point. While loose skin is common in puppies and is not necessarily abnormal, inactivity in a dog this young is not normal and may indicate a health problem. I'm assuming that by ORS, you mean oral rehydrating solution, like Gatorade or Pedialyte. This makes me think that you are concerned about dehydration. Loose skin does not necessarily indicate dehydration, but skin that does not return to its normal state after being pinched could indicate poor skin turgor, which may result from dehydration. A small amount of rehdyrating solution will probably not hurt Brownie, but it is also important to figure out why he isn't feeling well. I do not recommend changing his food suddenly as this may cause gastrointestinal upset, which could lead to diarrhea and further dehydration. If you plan on changing his food, you should do so slowly over a week's time to allow his system to adjust. I strongly suggest bringing Brownie to the vet to be checked out for parasites or other infections that may be causing his lethargy. Puppies of this age and size are particularly susceptible to disease, so a vet workup can prevent further decline. Good luck, and I hope that Brownie gets well soon!
