My puppy threw up and is very tired. When should I see a vet?

If your dog is [vomiting](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/vomiting-1/), not eating and extremely lethargic, these are very concerning signs. I would be worried that he may have a serious problem such as an [intestinal obstruction](https://www.petcoach.co/article/7-things-you-should-know-about-foreign-bodies-in-dogs), [pancreatitis](https://www.petcoach.co/article/pancreatitis-inflammation-in-dogs), or even [parvovirus](https://www.petcoach.co/article/canine-parvovirus-7-things-to-know) depending on his age. I would recommend having him seen by a vet right away - he/she can palpate his belly to check for any abnormalities, and may also need to do blood work and x-rays to determine the problem. Caramelo will likely need IV fluids for dehydration and may need to be hospitalized for further treatment depending on what's wrong.

You need to take Dora into a vet immediately. It's very concerning that such a young puppy isn't eating anything, has vomited, and has been lethargic. That indicates she is sick, and because young puppies can be so fragile and go downhill quite quickly, she needs veterinary care now. Pease take her into a vet asap.

Poor Opie! This does not look like bile, bile would be fluid. It may be something he ate. Given his age and that he may be lethargic, I do think it's a good idea to take him into a vet now just to be safe. I hope this helps!

You can monitor him at home for the next 2-3 hours as long as he is not extremely bloated. Eating too much kibbles is more dangerous that eating wet food but I assume that at his age he ate some wet food only ? Some dogs are very thirsty after eating too much food but please do not offer him a lot of water as this may cause further stomach distension. So, your puppy may be sleepy and lethargic for a the next couple of hours then he should get better. However, if he looks in pain and the abdomen is hard and very bloated you should contact your local vets to get help.

Poor puppy. That looks like digested food that he vomited up. He may have eaten something that he shouldn't have. Therefore I would try to fast him for 12 hours and then offer him small amounts of boiled chicken and plain rice. If he is still vomiting, lethargic, or has lack of appetite and diarrhea, then I would be concerned he may have either intestinal parasites or has contracted the deadly parvovirus. It is best to have him seen by your local veterinarian if he is not getting better. Hopefully he just got into something he shouldn't have and will show improvement within the next 12 to 24 hours. As long as Snowball is acting okay and does not continue to vomit, I would not worry too much. It is not unusual for puppies to vomit occasionally especially if it is been a long time since they've eaten. If Snowball becomes lethargic, develops diarrhea or continues to vomit, she should be seen by a veterinarian. Potential causes for vomiting besides that described above include parasites, eating something irritating to the intestinal tract, infections or metabolic issues such as liver and kidney problems.

It is very concerning when a puppy who is 2 lbs isn't feeling well. It can take time for puppies to adjust to their new surroundings but I don't like how she is very lethargic and vomited.
