My 5-month-old puppy's testicle hasn't dropped. Will it still drop?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My name is George And my puppy name is Oso. Well I took him to get his 3rd set of shots and while the vet was doing that she checked his testicle and said that only one fell. Now Oso is going to be 5months old . Do think it could still fall down???

Oso is very cute! By six months of age, both testicles should be descended into the scrotum. If they are not by six months of age, then it is unlikely that the other testicle will fall into place. This testicle has the potential to turn into a specific type of tumor and so you will want to make sure to have him neutered. Hopefully it will come down on its own! Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.
