My 7-week-old puppy has fleas & tapeworms. What to do before vet?

I recently bought a 7 week old puppy with me she's a beagle and the girl who sold her to me told me she has fleas so I made an appointment to see a vet asap but the only slot available isn't until Thursday the 29th. Shes been sleeping with me and tonight she woke up and had to poop so I put her on her puppy pad and when she pooped I noticed she had white flat worms in her poop. I freaked out and did some research and I think she may have tapeworm. Her vet appointment isn't until Thursday. Help

You won't be able to find a tapeworm treatment over the counter so this is going to need to wait for your vet apointment (you could call them back and ask for a sooner apointment explaining the situation), you can buy an over the counter flea treatment though, Advantage spot on is safe to use on dogs from the age of 7 weeks.

    Appropriate prescription products are available starting from 6 weeks of age. I would strongly suggest, to avoid overdosage and toxic side effects, to ask your local veterinarian what is available in your area.

Tapeworms are typically associated with fleas. There are over the counter deworming medications that can be used for tapeworms but if the fleas are not addressed as well the tapeworms will return. With a puppy that young most topical flea treatments are not appropriate but bathing with Dawn dish soap may help remove the fleas on your puppy currently.

You can treat him with a monthly flea prevention, like NexGard or Frontline which are both labeled for use on puppies over 8 weeks of age. Ask your vet for the best flea prevention for your puppy. Continue to give him the flea medication on a monthly basis.

What flea treatment is safe for my 7-week-old puppy turning 8 weeks?
Revolution can be used on puppies 6 weeks of age and older, and there is no minimum weight requirement. At 7 weeks old, he can use Advantage II if the puppy weighs at least 3 pounds, or K9 Advantix II if he weighs at least 4 pounds. If you prefer a flea collar, the Seresto collar can be used on puppies at least 7 weeks of age or older. After he is eight weeks old, you can use Activyl, or Frontline Plus, as well as some of the newer oral flea control medications such as NexGard and Trifexis.

Looks like roundworms. There are many OTC dewormers that should work just fine. You can look for one that contains Pyrantel. It is still a good idea to have a vet diagnose what worms or other intestinal parasites are present. And Cujo will need re-treatment in 3 weeks to kill adults that hatch from eggs in the intestines right now. I my opinion you should go to a pet shop and get some puppy wormer and worm your puppy. If you have no access to buying a wormer, have your vet worm your puppy on Tuesday and then again 2 - 3 weeks later.
