Is it safe if my puppy received vaccines earlier than her actual age?

No, vaccinations are quite safe to give in close proximity to each other even if you are giving them early. This is done quite often on dogs that we have no vaccination history of and they need them. Bordetella vaccine can be given to puppies from 8 weeks of age. The rabies vaccine will have to be repeated at 12 to 16 weeks (depending on your state's law) as maternal antibodies will destroy it and your puppy will not develop an immunity against rabies at this age. It is unlikely that your puppy will have any detrimental effect from those vaccines given at the age of 8 weeks. Whether the bordetella vaccine needs to be given again will depend on the type and brand of the vaccine. I suggest you follow the advice of your veterinarian. Accidents like this can happen, and it is likely that the tech who filled out your initial admission made a mistake when entering the information in the computer. No, Princess should not be dangerous to anyone if she bites or licks them - it's very normal for puppies to do this :) Rabies is extremely rare in pet dogs, and would be virtually unheard-of in a puppy this age - it can only be transmitted through the bite of an infected wild animal, so it's unlikely that she would have had any possibility of exposure at the age of two months. Dogs can get their rabies vaccine anytime after 12 weeks of age. So she isn't quite old enough yet, but your veterinarian can vaccinate her in another month or so. I do not recommend giving 5 in 1 vaccines on your own, because in my experience, vaccines purchased over the counter and given by owners are often not effective. It's much better to have your veterinarian give the vaccine, to make sure it's guaranteed to work.

No, I would not worry. Typically the first rabies vaccine isn't given until the puppy is 12 weeks of age. I would take Grey back into the vet when he is 12 weeks old to get his first rabies vaccine (he will need a booster of it four weeks after the first). I hope this helps :-)

There is no magical expiration date for vaccination (except for the Rabies vaccine as required by law). We have a strict time frame for which the puppy vaccination series must be done based on puppy immunity. After that, we used to vaccinate every year, but have found that many dogs are protected for years, so we have changed our recommended vaccination protocols. In general, it will not harm a puppy to have vaccinations twice unless it is a vaccine that the animal has a reaction to. Of course, we don't recommend that you get the vaccines off schedule, but most vaccines are tested so that if they are given at a higher than usual dose, it will not be harmful to the animal. Your pet may be more lethargic, painful at the injection site, etc etc, but in terms of serious side effects, you should be OK as long as there are no actual adverse side effects or reactions to the vaccine itself.
