I have a 8wk old puppy, He was dewormer about 5 days ago. He has had watery diarrhea since day one. Didn't eat but cranked for the first three days. I call vet they said to give him boiled chicken and rice. He started to eat On day three. It's day 5 and he still has diarrhea and has lost weight. The worms have been passing too since day one. No vomiting. I'm worried about the weight lost, and when the diarrhea will go away? He has a second dose due in 10 days.

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. Kai is definitely underweight judging by the photos you provided. I would suggest having him checked out by the veterinarian so further testing can be performed. Due to his age and the chronic diarrhea with weight loss, I would suggest having him tested for parvo. If he is parvo negative I would have his stool tested for intestinal parasites even though he has been dewormed because the dewormer he is on may not be treating the right parasite. The vet can also provide you with further medication to stop the diarrhea. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns that you may have
